This leg begins in Bod\u00f8 and takes us almost 700 nautical miles along the Norwegian coast to \u00c5lesund. We cross the Arctic Circle and sail southwards.<\/p>\n
We experience the powerful nature and imposing coastline of Norway. Along this stretch of coast, we find countless island groups scattered offshore. With utmost care, we navigate through narrow skerries to remote islands. In strong winds, we have the option of making our way south through the sheltered straits between the larger islands and the mainland.<\/p>\n
Our route takes us across the Arctic Circle, which lies at latitude 66\u00b0 33\u2032 N. This circle intersects the remote Tr\u00e6na archipelago, which is well worth a visit. South of the Arctic Circle, the sun will set again at this time of year, making it a special experience after witnessing the midnight sun.<\/p>\n
Depending on the crew's ambitions, a multi-day non-stop leg southwards is also possible. This takes us away from the Lofoten Islands, the iconic archipelago in northern Norway. Here, we are rewarded with countless anchorages against a picturesque backdrop.
