On the leg from Bodø to Tromsø, we cross Norway's iconic Lofoten archipelago. We are north of the Arctic Circle and sailing north towards the midnight sun. North of the Arctic Circle, the sun will not set at this time of year, making it a truly special experience.

We experience the powerful nature and imposing coastline of Norway. Along this stretch of coast, we find countless archipelagos scattered offshore. With utmost care, we navigate through narrow skerries to remote islands. In strong winds, we have the option of making our way northwards through the sheltered straits between the larger islands and the mainland.

Here we are rewarded with countless anchorages against a picturesque backdrop. We make a stop in idyllic fishing harbors with their brightly painted wooden houses and discover mystical places. The Trollfjord in the heart of the Lofoten Islands is a particularly narrow fjord with steep cliffs, well worth exploring.

Countless fjords with waterfalls, breathtaking scenery, and white sandy beaches will accompany us over the next few days on our journey through the Lofoten Islands. Depending on the weather, we will spend more time on the north or south side, or spend a night at anchor in Senja on our way to Tromsø.

Our destination port is Tromsø, also known as the Paris of the North. After the peaceful nights at anchor, the Arctic city feels particularly vibrant. After all, we want to feel like we're discovering something – both on the open sea and in the ports we visit. The entire passage is approximately 350 nautical miles long.
